Designing a powerful learning experience
You know the impact you want to make with your event, workshop or retreat. You have the vision, experience and some content you can use. What’s missing? A design that brings it all together. So participants don’t just receive information, but genuinely experience the kind of learning you’re aiming for.
This is where I step in. Together, we’ll turn your ideas into an inspiring and coherent program that feels natural to deliver and meaningful for your audience.
What we’ll do
This is a co-creative process that typically includes:
- Crafting crystal-clear learning objectives and structure
- Designing a program and narrative that flows and makes sense
- Creating prompts and exercises that invite reflection, insight and experience
- Writing a complete and detailed facilitator script, from welcome to close
- Building a safe, solid container that allows for transformation
- Weaving in thoughtful framing, smooth transitions and integration moments
The result? A learning experience that’s meaningful and inspiring.
Is this for you?
You’re a consultant, leader, coach, trainer or facilitator, but not (yet) a learning designer. You’ve got a vision, maybe some content and need help shaping this into something clear and engaging. This is for you if:
- You care about clarity and coherence
- You want to create a space for experiential learning and move beyond information delivery
- You’d like the design to allow for transformation, if participants are ready
- You want a detailed, ready-to-use script that supports your facilitation
What to expect
This is a design sprint that usually takes 2-3 weeks and is done fully online. If you’d like, we can extend our collaboration with me as your co-host or facilitator to deliver the designed experience.
We start with a conversation to clarify your idea and intention. I’ll review existing materials such as offers, drafts, scripts or handouts and share my reflections. Then I design your learning journey into a coherent experience.
Next, we’ll meet again for a refinement session. This is where we tweak, question and polish the details, to make the design fully yours and aligned with your goals. Throughout, you can ask me anything. I’ll share best practices and tips to help you deliver this experience with presence.

This wasn’t a typical workshop: it was a lived experience of our company values. The design wove openness, equality and growth into every exercise, making them tangible rather than abstract. Even across screens and countries, we felt connected thanks to the thoughtful facilitation, prompts and the use of remote tools that preserved the human element. Perhaps this was even more impactful because we were working from home during the well-known months of Covid lockdown.
The guiding ideas, like ‘no one is a mind-reader’ and ‘thoughts and feelings are not binary’, became anchors that shifted how we communicate and understand one another. It’s rare to find learning that feels this authentic and transformative.
Annemieke conceptualised and facilitated an amazing storytelling session for a group of young entrepreneurs in the Kairos UK community. The session was focused on sharing and listening to stories from each other’s journey and reflecting on how we could use those powerful stories to enrich our own paths. It was an immensely powerful session that I will not forget in a hurry. I would not hesitate to recommend Annemieke to organisations that are serious about the wellbeing of their people.
The workshop was masterfully designed: clear and structured. Purposeful at every step. What impressed me most was how it created a safe space while still pushing each us out of our comfort zones through role-plays, circle talk and reflections. The balance of it made the experience powerful and memorable. This wasn’t just theory, we walked away with experience and practical tools, which immediately helped us handle real situations with more awareness and empathy.
